How We Make a Book
How We Make a Book
We are transparent about our process because we think readers have a right to know what they're buying.
The first draft
We use modern AI writing tools for the first draft. This is what lets us publish on a weekly cadence without a large team. The tools handle the blank page. We handle everything that comes after.
The editorial pass
Every manuscript gets a human editorial pass before it moves forward. We read for consistency, pacing, character logic, and emotional truth. A draft that doesn't hold together goes back to revision, not to production.
Cover design
Professional cover design is not optional. Readers make purchase decisions in under three seconds based on a cover. We brief covers against the genre's visual conventions and the specific story inside — not a template.
The blurb test
The blurb has one job: accurately describe what's inside in a way that makes the right readers want it. We rewrite until it does both. Misleading blurbs are the fastest way to earn one-star reviews. We don't take that shortcut.
The quality gate
A title ships when it clears all four: first draft complete, editorial pass done, cover ready, blurb accurate. Not before. Our cadence is fast. Our floor is fixed.
